Design with Purpose
As a kid I never liked being in the limelight.
I preferred the behind-the-scene action.
In the school production I was always the one crammed in the art room; making props, costumes, and hand-drawn posters. I ran on the sweet smell of PVA, survived on Buzz Bars from the school canteen and lived for the heady excitement of pulling an all-nighter to meet the opening night deadline.
You see, I loved being part of the team but never wanted to set foot on the stage. I preferred my name to appear in the programme under “support crew”.
Now, with a successful twenty-year career as a graphic designer in my toolkit, I find myself wanting to be that support crew again.
I’ve witnessed first-hand the difference good design can make. And I passionately believe that organisations committed to doing good, deserve good design.
Today, I work with not-for-profits, social enterprises and purpose-driven organisations to create affordable visual communication that helps you stand out from the crowd.
I honed my skills as a graphic designer in a global creative agency where I worked with great organisations in New Zealand, Australia, and the USA. Clients included Ronald McDonald House, School of Art Institute of Chicago, Illinois Office of Tourism, YHA New Zealand and St James School of Medicine.
Today, I’m here to help you realise the full potential of your project, whether that’s a fundraising campaign or building your brand. Powerful considered design raises awareness, grows support, and generates impact.
Let’s work together to make a positive change for your organisation.
“Kim made every project enjoyable to work on, even the most challenging ones. Always easy to work with, her professionalism and maturity are so valuable and hard to find in a notoriously egocentric and fickle industry.”
